Coflex Choke Hose

Coflex Choke hose is armored, thermal insulation, high pressure resistance, anti-flaming and fire resistant inner wall hose. It is designed and produced strictly as per API 16C standards. It is applicable to connection at locations when the drill rig, drilling vessel and the installation dimensions of the rig change.

It can withstand a continuous dynamic use of up to 15 meters per second. Moreover, it is suitable for temporary and permanent sour service.

Application

Coflex flexible hoses are used in both onshore and offshore oilfield applications as choke and kill lines for well control equipment. They are specifically designed to handle the high pressures and flow rates that these systems require. This armored hose, which is made strictly according to API 16C standards, has a double cross wireline layer, heat-insulation layer, fire-resistance layer, buffering and sealing layer, and stainless steel jacket. It can be provided with welding or integral forged unions, flanges, and clamp connection type, or designed according to customer requirements. It is applicable for the flexible connection between the riser and manifold or around the ball joint of offshore drilling rigs. It can also be used to transport oil, gas, mud and other high-pressure media. API Spec 16C & SY/T5323-2004.

Material

We manufacture and supply Coflex style hoses for the flexible connection between the riser and manifold or around the ball joint of offshore drilling rigs. These hoses are specifically designed to handle the high pressures and flow rates this type of application requires.

They have a stainless steel armored covering that resists abrasion, cutting, gouging and oil. The inner wall is constructed of a nitrile or fluoroelastomer that features oil resistance, abrasion resistance and up to 20% H2S. The outer protective layer is a black sheath of neoprene that resists oils, abrasion and weathering.

The hoses are designed and manufactured strictly as per API 16C, and they consist of inner core, double cross wireline layer, heat-insulation layer, fire-resistance layer, buffering and sealing layers and stainless steel jacket. The hoses are applicable to the connections at locations when the drill rig, drilling vessel or installation dimensions change and also for transporting of oil, gas, mud or other high pressure media.

Design

Choke Kill line is a flexible hose used as connection between the riser and manifold or around the ball joint of offshore drilling rigs. It is specially designed to withstand the high pressure in oilfield applications. It is made from a combination of multiple layers of textile fabric and steel cable, with a middle rubber placed between cable layers. The hose is armored to handle abrasion, cutting, gouging, corrosion, and up to 20% H2S. It can be fitted with a wide variety of couplings including welding or integral forged unions, flanges, camlock, and swaged couplings.

The inner wall of Coflexip hose is armored and designed for thermal insulation, anti-flaming, and fire resistance. It meets API Spec 16C and SY/T5323-2004. Since 2003, Letone has been devoted to manufacturing a series of rubber hoses with good quality and competitive price.

Certification

The hose is available in sizes from 5,000 – 10,000 psi and comes with a variety of end connections (welding, flanges, clamp, camlock etc.). The hose is tested at 22500psi for 15 minutes and provided with a pressure test graph, a pressure certificate and a letter of conformance. It is suitable for oilfield service and complies with UL 455/690. It can be used as an annulus line, kill/choke line and well stimulation / well treatment line. It can be paired with a variety of accessories including safety clamps, chain/hose lift eyes, and hose reels. The hose can be supplied with either a steel or stainless steel sheathed jacket and is resistant to abrasion, corrosion, cutting, gouging, oil and up to 20% H2S.
