Custom manufacturer & distributor of industrial, hydraulic & rotary drilling hoses. Features include swaged couplings, various reinforcements & abrasion, oil, ozone, hydrocarbon & weather resistant rubber cover.
Rotary and vibrator drilling hoses are used as the flexible connection between standpipe & swivel to pump mud at high pressure for oilfield drilling operations & exploration. They are also known as kelly or slim hole hoses.
High Pressure
A rotary drilling hose is a high pressure flexible rubber and steel reinforced hose that connects the standpipe to the swivel or top drive on a derrick. It is vital to the drilling process that this piping system is made of durable material capable of holding the pumped high amounts of drilling fluid at the rate that it is being delivered to the drill string and bit. This material must also be resilient enough to allow the hose to move along with the swivel on the derrick at one end while connecting to it at the other to keep it stable in the system.
Mud hoses, or Kelly hoses as they are sometimes called, are constructed with high-quality NBR tube, multiple layers of steel cable spirals reinforcement, and an oil resistant cover to ensure the hose can withstand up to 15,000psi pressure. They also meet API 7K specifications and can be equipped with a variety of different end fittings.
Corrosion Resistant
Corrosion rates, or the speed at which metal deteriorates, are an important factor to consider when choosing a hose. Choosing an alloy with high corrosion resistance ensures the hose will last longer, making it a cost effective choice for your application.
A rotary drilling hose is the flexible connection between the mud standpipe and swivel on a rig, also known as the kelly hose. It can deliver water, oil and mud at high-pressure. It’s often used for directional drilling and downlinking.
The rotary drilling method suits a wide range of geological formations, including rock and soil. The type of rock formation will determine which form of rotary drilling is used; air-rotation suits consolidated, stable rock and mud-rotation suits more unconsolidated, less stable rocks. The rotary drilling hose can also be chosen to suit the type of drilling; abrasion-resistant hose is used for abrasive applications. It has a tough cover that resists impact, abrasion, weather, cutting and gouging. It has a full range of couplings, such as camlocks, hammer unions and flanges.
Hydraulic
Drilling hose is a flexible tube on rotary drilling rigs that conducts the drilling fluid from the standpipe to the swivel and kelly. It is also known as the mud hose or kelly hose. It is an essential part of the rotary drilling rig system.
Rotary drilling hose, which is made according to API 7K spec, is used for flexible connection between the top of oil rotary drill riser and vertical moved swivel joint in drilling, repair cementing and workover operation. It can convey water, oil and mud high pressure media. It is resistant to corrosion of hydrogen sulfide, and has oil-resistant synthetic rubber tube, double layer of spiral steel cables and abrasion-resistant cover.
It has a variety of end fittings to choose from, including flange, camlock and hammer union. It can withstand the working pressure up to 15,000psi and is resistant to abrasion, cutting, gouging and oil weathering. It is available in different lengths, diameters and wall thicknesses.
Abrasion Resistant
Designed for the flexible connection between the standpipe and swivel (rotary) or pump and pump manifold (vibrator) for pumping mud at very high pressure in oil drilling and exploration. It is also used for cementing and acidizing service on rigs. This grade D rotary hose can operate at up to 4000psi. Also known as Kelly hose, kelly line or high pressure drill hose. It features a special NBR tube and two layers of spiral steel wires with an abrasion, ozone, hydrocarbon and flame resistant synthetic rubber cover.
Economical general service suction and discharge hose for transferring water, light chemical solutions and other non-abrasive liquids such as agriculture fertilizers. It resists kinking and has an internal static conductive tube with copper static wire to prevent a buildup of static electricity. The soft-wall hose construction provides good handling and flexibility at low temperatures. It can be equipped with a wide range of couplings including camlock, hammer unions and flanges.
