API 16C Connectors

API 16C is a standard for wellhead and kill manifold equipment. It includes a series of tests to ensure the hose can hold up under pressure, sour conditions and high abrasion.

The standard does not require fire testing of rigid piping between the control system and the BOP stack, as most rigs have these pipes in walking lines. Fraction to decimal conversions can be found in Annex A.

Flexible Choke & Kill Hose

Choke manifold system is an important support equipment of hydraulic BOP, it can control well blow out by regulating wellhead pressure of casing and stand pipe. It can also prevent the leakage of mud by controlling choke valve opening and closing.

This API 16C flexible choke & kill line is designed to meet the most stringent requirements in oil field service operation. It is suitable for use in corrosive conditions where high temperatures and large working pressure are required.

Tube(Lining): Modified nitrile rubber or fluoroelastomer, resisting oil, abrasion and acid & alkali. Reinforcement: 2-8 layers of single high strength steel wire spiral. Cover: Neoprene, featuring Oil resistance, abrasion resistance, low temperature, weather proof and anti-aging. Accessories: Safety chain or clamp and hose lift eye available upon customers’ request. Each hose is tested at 22500psi for 15 minutes. Test report, letter of conformance and pressure test graph are issued.

Choke Manifold

Choke manifold is an important equipment used to control the well kick successfully and execute pressure control technology on oil & gas well during drilling. It can help to prevent the pollution of the oil-layer, improve drilling speed and control blowout effectively. It consists of choke valve, gate valve and pipeline. One end of the device connects with the side flange of BOP spool. The other end of the device connects with the injection pump.

It can inject heavy mud or water into the well to balance the bottom hole pressure during drilling. The pressure is controlled by opening and closing the choke valve to maintain a casing pressure slightly higher than the formation pressure.

The choke manifold is made of high-quality material and has been carefully inspected and tested to ensure quality and performance. The materials are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. The sealing materials have been tested to resist sour gas, crude oil and diesel chemical compositions that are aggressive to seals.
